CEM to exhibit at IIPSEC, UK

Belfast, Ireland

CEM Systems will showcase its latest IP access control innovations at IIPSEC, UK during 29th-31st January.

On display for the first time in the UK will be a range of industry firsts including the new CEM S610e multi-technology IP card reader and the revolutionary DIU 220 (Power over Ethernet Door Interface Unit).

"As the UK's International IP security exhibition, IIPSEC offers CEM the ideal platform to launch its industry leading IP access control innovations," comments Philip Verner, sales & marketing manager of Tyco International's CEM products "With a culture for consistently leading the industry, CEM will display the new S610 multi-technology IP card reader and the DIU 220 (Door Interface Unit) which has positioned CEM to be the first to reliably offer power over Ethernet access control to the industry" adds Verner.

The S610 multi-technology card reader marks a new hardware platform in the industry's most advanced CEM S600 family of card readers. Available in both S610s for on-board serial connectivity and S610e for on-board IP connectivity, the reader features a 'new look' enclosure that is in fitting with the architectural designs of modern office buildings. The reader has the ability to support a range of card technologies including 125 KHz Proximity, 13.56 MHz MiFare and PicoPass technology and is also available as a multi-technology option to enable customers to easily migrate from traditional Proximity to MiFare smart card technology.

Another product on display is the CEM DIU 220 (Power over Ethernet Door Interface Unit) that offers 1.6 Amps to reliably power a complete door set (consisting of a controller, two 650mA Maglocks, door holder, sounder and strobe) using one CAT5/6 Ethernet cable. Eliminating the need for mains power at the door the DIU 220 can be installed by IT network/security installers without an electrician, offering clients the benefit of a complete IP solution at a low cost.

Besides exhibiting theCEM Technical Director, Dr George Redpath will be conducting a technical seminar entitled "Integrated IP based Access Control" on Wednesday 30th January at the IIPSEC Networked Integrated Solutions seminar.
