CEM to exhibit at Airport Show in Dubai

Dubai, UAE

CEM Systems, an access control brand of Tyco International is set to display its airport-specific solutions at The Airport Show, Dubai during 2nd-4th June.

On display will be their CEM AC2000 AE (Airport Edition) security management system, as well as the new S610e Fingerprint card reader that offers airports an advanced and fully integrated solution for both access control and biometrics.

"With 25 years experience working in consultation with airports, the Airport Show is the ideal platform for CEM to demonstrate to Middle Eastern airports why 80 percent of UK airports use a CEM access control solution" commented Philip Verner, marketing manager at CEM Systems. "Specifically designed for the airport environment, AC2000 AE provides airports with a powerful, and fully integrated security system that can be customised and is continually developed to reflect the latest in airport technology and legislation," Verner continued.

The AC2000 AE system incorporates advanced CEM hardware that is ideal for the airport environment such as the S3010 portable hand-held card reader and the S610 range of intelligent card readers, including the new S610e Fingerprint reader.

The S610e Fingerprint Reader provides clients with a highly secure, flexible and fully integrated single solution where an additional biometric layer of security is required. What makes the reader unique to the industry is that it eliminates the need for an additional biometric cabling network and software enrolment process. With a unique internal database, the S610e fingerprint reader also holds cardholder data at door level, giving full off-line biometric and card verification at the door at all times, even if communication to the access control host is not available. This critically ensures zero system downtime and offers airports 24/7 access control validation at airside/landside doors.

Offering airports a highly resilient security management system, AC2000 AE can also be fully integrated with third party systems such as CCTV, Intercoms etc and offers a host of features beyond access control to help manage airport efficiency. These include check-in desk enabling, passenger segregation, air-bridge monitoring, advanced reporting on airline usage and much more to aid the generation of airport revenue.
