Briefcam and Convergint agree strategic partnership
Neve Ilan, Israel and Schaumburg, Il (USA)
"We are delighted to announce our partnership with Convergint," stated Dror Irani, CEO and President of Briefcam. "Convergint professionals aim to solve problems expressed by customers, many of whom have experienced increasing frustration with the amount of time, effort and personnel needed to browse recorded video. Video Synopsis provides an elegant solution to that problem, cutting review time, reducing manpower and storage costs and increasing efficiency along the way."
"Up until now, video review was a time-consuming, expensive process, meaning that the majority of captured video was never reviewed or even viewed. Using Briefcam, a day of surveillance camera footage can be summarised into a video clip as short as a minute, making total video review a reality."
Tony Varco, Convergint Technology Vice President, electronic security division, said, “This partnership reflects Convergint's commitment to providing clients with the best technologies available today. Security cameras have been a major source of our growth and we're pleased to be able to offer those customers a way of maximizing their security investment. We see Video Synopsis as a game changer and a key tool for improving safety and security, moderating loss prevention and limiting liability."
Convergint will offer VS Forensics, a standalone Video Synopsis application for post-event investigation, and VS Enterprise, an integrated Video Synopsis application. VS Enterprise supports both on-demand channels for deferred batch processing as well as optional add-on live channels for immediate Video Synopsis availability on critical cameras. In all, VS Enterprise enables Video Synopsis on 100% of installed cameras.
