Al-Futtaim Technologies appoints new MD

Dubai, UAE

Al-Futtaim Technologies, one of the region's leading systems integrators and a member of the Al-Futtaim Group, appoints Harvey Klyce as the managing director of the company.

A native of Mills Valley, San Francisco, California, USA Harvey brings with him 16 years of expertise in the information and communication technology (ICT) space. Harvey will spearhead the new direction for Al-Futtaim Technologies and focus on the development of the ICT business. He will also oversee the expansion of the business into new geographies including East Africa, Egypt, Bahrain and Qatar amongst others.

Harvey is a graduate from the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, USA. After a brief stint with Lucent technologies in enterprise solutions, Harvey gained broad
experience with Alcatel, where he spent 6 years developing and selling broadband access (Triple Play) solutions while overlooking access group business planning and sales for North America.

"I look forward to taking up this assignment at Al-Futtaim Technologies as the company enters a new phase in its
expansion programme. The company has a great team of people, excellent products, wellknown brands and a solid channel to market. I am very excited with the opportunity to lead this business to reach its full potential" says Harvey on his appointment.

A MBA degree holder from the IESE Business School, University of Navarra, Barcelona, Harvey's most recent assignment saw him leading international business development and marketing with Tellabs in the USA where he worked on various high-profile projects 2 that included Telus in Canada, Telstra in Australia, PCCW in Hong Kong, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT) in Japan and British Telecom in the UK.
