Qatar car firm upgrades to biometric access

Doha, Qatar

As an organisation that is constantly looking for ways to be perceived as the most competent and service orientated business, Al-Attiya Motors in Qatar recognised the weight of their ambition. It soon became clear that a comprehensive biometric time attendance system would swiftly manage their workforce at the same time as demonstrating that their human assets are one of the most important pillars of the business.

Al-Attiya Motors and Trading Co has been an exclusive dealer of Kia Motors of Korea since 1986. From a humble root, this venture has advanced and made it as one of the preeminent 5 automotive dealers in Qatar. In conjunction with its expansion due to the rising demand for Kia vehicles, a concurrent and stylish showroom by the Al Rayyan road was opened in 2010 along with a service centre complex that started its operation last year.

As a result of recent expansion plans, Al-Attiya Motors and Trading Co is now using Fingertec’s time attendance and access control system in all its branches in Qatar. Introduced through a trusted distributor, Intelligent Project Company who takes care of Fingertec products, marketing, sales, and repair centre in Qatar, Al-Attiya Motors and Trading Co had a smooth transition from their previous manual system to the automated Fingertec TA100C-R.

With the newly installed biometric system complete with card technology as one of the credentials, Al-Attiya Motors and Trading Co is now at ease when it comes to workforce management as some of the common problems derived from the manual attendance system have been eradicated. Fingertec TA100C-R ensures genuine attendance recordings as it is embedded with fingerprint verification technology that captures true identity and monitors closely the ins’ and outs’ of the employees. A systematic method of data collection, that enables all staff to scan their fingerprint or flash the access card and have their attendance recording taken care of. Complete with configuration icons and an eye-catching full colour TFT screen, the interface is designed to be very user friendly and attractive.

To tackle access control, Intelligence Project deployed Fingertec’s Keylock and K-Kadex with an Ingressus controller to create a complete In-Out access system with either a card or password function. Designed to be stylishly in sync with the Kadex series, K-Kadex can be implemented with Ingressus as a more cost effective option for entry and exit terminals. Al-Attiya Motors and Trading Co adopts Ingress software to deal with all data from one central location. Ingress is not only loaded with powerful door access features and functions, it comes complete with time and attendance features as well for a comprehensive one-stop solution for office workforce management.
