Airlive introduces wireless 5GHz 11N CPE
Taipei, Taiwan and Dubai, U.A.E
This solution for building wireless outdoor networks is cost effective, reliable and includes many features and great performance according to the company. It runs within a spectrum range of 5.1 to 5.8 GHz. The CPE enclosure is built with high grade anti-UV materials for protection from prolonged sunshine and rain. It includes an integrated 16dBi 5GHz antenna with horizontal, vertical, or diversity polarisation. The internal PCBA slides out for easy maintenance. The built-in advanced passive Power over Ethernet is for the deployment of a PoE network environment.
With the integrated directional antenna and high performance 150Mbps 11n radio, the Airmax5N and Airmax5N-ESD can reach long distances using the built-in antenna. The Airmax5N and Airmax5N-ESD are also equipped with an R-SMA connector. The system integrator simply connects a hi-gain external antenna to the R-SMA port. After this step, he can then select the CPE to use vertical, horizontal, or external antennas from the web interface.
Despite of its compact size (length 220 x width 80 x height 35 mm), the Airmax5N/Airmax5N-ESD are packed with full performance hardware and software. The long distance radio provides longer distances and better signal than most of the market offerings today. The Airmax5N/Airmax5N-ESD can function as an AP, Client, WDS, WDS repeater, gateway or WISP. Therefore, the user can instantly transform the CPE for different wireless applications.
With the new Airlogic interface, the web configuration is much more user friendly than ever before. The user can simply start by selecting a wireless mode, the Airmax5N/Airmax5N-ESD will display only options available in that wireless mode. The Airmax5N/Airmax5N-ESD also provides the capability to control total connection or as per the user's bandwidth. Therefore, WISP operators are able to offer different classes of connection speeds for different subscription fees, similar to the ADSL service.
