4 megapixel outdoor IR bullet from Hiqview

Taipei, Taiwan

Hiqview, a professional IP camera manufacturer, has launched a new outdoor IP bullet camera, the HIQ-6485, which features 4 megapixels to reproduce 2688x1520 quality images in real time.

The Hiqview HIQ-6485 has been equipped with 1/3" CMOS sensor, 3.6mm at F2.1 fixed lens, and all-IP architecture. Images from the HIQ-6485 can be compressed into two formats, H.264 and MJPEG. Multiple resolutions are available: 2688*1520 / 1920*1080 / 1280*720 / 640*360. Under 4 megapixel resolution, the HIQ-6485 can create effective quality images: 30 fps @ 2688x1520 (4 megapixel) real-time. Users can choose a suitable streaming format to meet different environmental conditions.

Digital Wide Dynamic Range (D-WDR) technology allows the HIQ-6485 to perform extremely well in difficult lighting conditions, such as strong backlight or dimming light. D-WDR uses different exposures and lowers the light contrast to reveal a clear image of a person or an object. If a man stands in front of the HIQ-6485 with a strong backlight behind him, his face will still be clearly seen although it would be too dark to see it without D-WDR.

Image noise can be caused by many factors, such as power interference, heat, or a dim light source, resulting in ineffective surveillance work. The HIQ-6485 removes image noises by applying DNR technology. It not only makes for clearer images, but also reduces video file size.  There are 28 pcs of 20M light source IR LEDs built in; this enable the camera to generate clear images under bad light condition. The HIQ-6485, as an IR camera, is capable of generating effective pictures in dark environments. IR technology can make it a powerful tool to identify essential elements at night, such as people and vehicles.   The HIQ-6485 is designed with an IP66 robust housing which meets water-proof and dust-proof standards for outdoor installation.

The network deployment of HIQ-6485 is simple and quick. It is provided with an installation tool, which can search for a device that is already connected to the internet. This feature alleviates the inconvenience of complex network settings. The built-in web server open platform provides remote users with real time video through the internet browser. The camera offers PoE feature that enables power and internet connection to be provided by the same cable. Therefore, this means that not only are power outlets no longer needed, but more importantly, the space to place the IP surveillance system is saved, and the cost is reduced sharply.

The HIQ-6485 is bundled with powerful VMS software, which supplies users with omni-bearing video management and surveillance.  The Hiqview Vision software is bundled free with Hiqview IP cameras, and it is able to manage up to 64 IP cameras.

This camera is suitable for monitoring 24/7 in open environments and important entry areas, such as retail stores, car parks, classrooms, bank lobbies, and ATMs.
