Optelecom-NKF opens office in Dubai

Dubai, UAE

Optelecom-NKF, Inc. announce that it has opened a new regional sales office in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.

The opening of the Dubai office underscores the company's success in the Gulf region, establishing key vendor partnerships and participating in marquee projects such as Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Mall, Falcon Highway, Asian Games Qatar, and the Rastanura project in Saudi Arabia. Creating a strong local presence in the UAE facilitates better support and faster response times for the company's sales chain partners all across the Middle East.

The company also announced the appointment of Tariq Anwer as regional sales manager, heading the Dubai operation. Mr. Anwer, a ten-year industry veteran, adds a sophisticated and deep knowledge of security systems and markets in the Middle East. Previously, Mr. Anwer worked for Group 4 Securitas and Al-Futtaim Engineering in the UAE.

"It's exciting to come to Optelecom-NKF, a company focused on the development and manufacturing of industry leading technology," said Mr. Anwer. "Optelecom-NKF is one of the few providers capable of offering hybrid solutions for customers shifting from conventional technologies to IP/Networked solutions. We will build on the company's reputation for quality and reliability in the Security & Surveillance market, Highways, Airports, Tunnels, Shopping Malls, and Industrial & Military environments."

"The opening of our Dubai office and the addition of Tariq to our team reflects our success in the Middle East as we build and strengthen partnerships and create awareness of our solution offerings among end-users, consultants, distributors, and integrators," added Edmund Ludwig, Optelecom-NKF's president and CEO.
