IDL Launch New Glasswing at IFSEC 2006

After winning the Exporter of the Year Award last year, Integrated Design was back at IFSEC in the NEC on their new larger stand, for the UK launch of the Fastlane Glasswing, further enhancing their range of entrance control solutions to meet the customer´s ever changing requirements.

Fastlane Glasswing uses retracting glass barriers in conjunction with state of the art optical technology to provide a high throughput security gate. The glass barriers are designed to work in a normally closed mode and retract inside the pedestal after a valid card has been presented to allow the authorised user to pass.
The Glasswing utilises a unique 24 beam IR detection matrix designed to provide a superior level of security, throughput and safety. The Fastlane Glasswing can detect tailgaters as close together as 5 mm and offers real world throughput levels of up to 1 person per second, the 8 dedicated safety beams are designed to ensure the barriers to not accidentally hit users.
The Glasswing is designed to provide a larger lane width than the industry standard for speedgates thereby allowing easy access through the system and minimising the chance of damage to the unit from briefcases and other large items.
Fastlane Glasswing can be configured to make the installation compliant with the UK Disabilities Act (DDA) as well as most similar international standards.
'Glasswing continues Fastlane's tradition of setting new benchmarks for performance in the ever expanding speedgate market.' comments Michael Bystram, Sales Director of Integrated Design Ltd.
