Dahua enhances security for BMCI in Morocco

Morocco and Hangzhou, China

With an expanding business coupled with increasing security concerns, the BMCI bank recently decided to level up its security system, including its 250 branches throughout Morocco using Dahua technology.
Established in 1964 , BMCI, Banque Marocaine du Commerce et de l'Industrie, is a bank based in Morocco with a network of hundreds of branches, currently boasting over 500,000 personal, business and institutional customers. BMCI is a subsidiary of the French financial group BNP Paribas, whose great financial rating makes it a stand-out performer in the country's banking sector.

The bank requires a system which needs to be stable, smooth and reliable to safeguard the business 24/7, both indoors and outdoors, and to react to attempted security breaches with timely and effective responses. As the bank was already covered with an analogue structure - a hybrid solution — megapixel cameras with higher image quality and easier management and hybrid DVRs were ideal for this upgrade.

The project selected more than a thousand Dahua 3- and 2-megapixel HD network cameras, three to four camera units with a hybrid DVR per branch. These cameras are installed in lobbies and self-service sectors, safeguarding the entrances, counters and the ATM kiosks, capturing and rendering crystal clear images with true colour reproduction. Dahua hybrid video recorders integrate both analogue and network cameras on the back-end, with up to 32Tb footage storage. With Dahua in-house surveillance software — DSS, the whole surveillance area is monitored with Dahua technology. The powerful integration and intuitive interface with newly-designed tabs enables the administrator to enjoy an improved user experience.

“With the quality and service offered by Dahua, BMCI has the confidence to handle emergencies and is able to standardise on the internal management,” said Afaf Raid, the sales manager of Country Technologie, Dahua’s exclusive local distributor.
