Kapersky adds analyst support and expands team in Europe

Moscow, Russia

Kaspersky is simplifying access to its security operation center’s (SOC) experts for its Managed Detection and Response Optimum service customers. Now mid-sized enterprises can directly reach out to Kaspersky SOC analysts and ask questions 24/7 using a dedicated chat. The company has also invested in the MDR service’s development in Europe, expanding the expert team with analysts in the region.

The MDR market has been growing significantly, as businesses address the shortage of security professionals, expertise needed to build an in-house SOC and budget constraints. To fill this gap, however, it is important that, among the wide variety of services available, organisations find an MDR partner that is reliable and responsive.

Kaspersky is, therefore, improving its Managed Detection and Response Optimum offering to make it even more accessible and convenient for medium-sized enterprises. Security experts can now ask questions to the company’s SOC analysts about a specific incident in real time. The chat is available through an incident card in the single management console – Kaspersky Security Center. Security teams can receive expert help on the current incident they’re facing, as well as advice on response actions. The chat is available anytime, and analysts do their best to reply as quickly as possible.

Moreover, new analysts in Europe will be joining Kaspersky SOC to help protect customers in the region.  According to the company, Kaspersky MDR has strong representation in Europe, accounting for 47% of the service coverage, with Italy, Germany and Austria being the most active users of this service.

“We plan to further improve the user experience of Kaspersky MDR Optimum and expand its capabilities. The appearance of a chat is a small but significant change that should make it much easier for customers to work through incidents. As for the expansion in Europe, this is only the first step in developing our service in the region. Since it is one of the most important geographical areas for us, we will continue to invest in it to meet the needs of local businesses,” says Artem Karasev, Product Marketing Lead at Kaspersky.
