Virtua is a non-profit, comprehensive healthcare system headquartered in Marlton, New Jersey. Recognised for its quality of care, Virtua is among one of the most elite hospitals across the nation. Virtua has four hospitals: Berlin, Marlton, Memorial and Voorhees, along with two wellness centres, and a variety of outpatient health facilities. Virtua employs more than 9,300 clinical/administrative personnel and more than 2,000 physicians.

The solution uses 30 Exacqvision Z-Series IP and hybrid servers, enabling Virtua to continue to utilise their 500 analogue cameras and existing infrastructure while adding over 1,000 IP cameras to their surveillance network.

The benefits became almost immediately apparant with reduced system and VMS software costs and the system now integrates with the third-party access control system.

According to Virtua the new system provides them with quality, exportable footage and has improved overall operations. “It’s a simple point and click application. There was virtually no learning curve for our employees. Exacq gives us the ability to have everyone on our network monitored on our video wall in a central location.” commented Paul Sarnese, Virtua System Safety Director.
