US market introduction of Basler's IP cameras

Ahrensburg, Germany

Basler will introduce its comprehensive range of versatile, high performance IP camera models at the ASIS show in Atlanta on September 15th to 17th. After market introduction in Europe at the IFSEC show in May, the cameras will make their first appearance in the US at ASIS. Basler IP cameras are designed and manufactured in Germany.

The Basler IP camera family comprises a selection of the best Sony CCD sensors as well as high performance Micron CMOS sensors. With a total of five different models and resolutions ranging from VGA to 2 megapixels, the cameras are a perfect fit for a variety of surveillance applications.

These cameras feature a complete image compression set-up without limitation to specific resolutions. All cameras offer not only multi-level MJPEG compression with multi-streaming options, but also a simultaneous, independent MPEG-4 or H.264 streaming capability, while frame transmissions are kept at the highest possible rate. The comprehensive set of network security and management capabilities on the cameras is enhanced by a wide range of standard features such built-in support for compliant Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af), DC Auto-iris control functionality, and adaptive bit rate control. The Basler IP camera family features an ultra compact (89 mm x 29 mm x 44 mm) all metal housing, which makes it the smallest IP camera in its class, according to Basler.

Visitors to ASIS 2008 can expect Basler to present the new IP camera product range. The show will take place from September 15th to the 17th in Atlanta, US.
