Urban Security at ISC West - a show within the show -will bring products, services and solutions used in Federal, state and local government buildings; industrial complexes; institutional buildings; public areas and facilities; campuses, stadiums; commercial office spaces and bridges, tunnels and airports. Exhibitors in the event will be classified into five categories: Perimeter/Barrier Protection; Detection; Urban Services; City Emergency and Crisis Management; Port and Cargo. Exhibiting companies to date include: Homeland Security Technology; Hoss Equipment; Isonics; Jupiter; Off the Wall; RAE Systems; Rapiscan; Robotic Security and Swan Fence.
With continued sponsorship by SIA (Security Industry Association), Urban Security will cover roughly 40,000 square feet of space in a dedicated new hall at the Sands Expo and Convention Center. Additional support comes from Government Security News as official publication sponsor with others to be announced in the coming weeks.
According to ISC West 2005 registration data, purchasers of Urban Security equipment already attend the event in great numbers: 26 percent are end-users; 24 percent are integrators and 19 percent are dealer/installers with titles such as Chief Security Officer; Federal, State and local managers and executives; Emergency Management executives; First Responders and Hazardous Materials Coordinators.
