TOA Canada expands microphone portfolio

Ontario, Canada

TOA Canada Corporation has expanded its 5000 Series UHF wireless microphone lineup with new models, an expansion of available frequency bands, option for rechargeable batteries and a host of other innovative features.
Ideal for houses of worship, schools, fitness clubs and many other applications, the new microphones maintain high performance standards while lowering operating costs. Built with rugged, lightweight construction for comfort and durability during continual use, speakers have the ability to choose a headset style including lavaliere (unidirectional or omnidirectional), head worn, headset, over the ear and aerobics. There is a convenient On/Off switch on all transmitters for audio muting when necessary, or for conservation of battery life.

Transmitter options include the WM-5225 condenser handheld, WM-5265 dynamic hand-held, WM-5270 dynamic hand-held and WM-5325 UHF wireless transmitter body-pack (which accepts any of several lapel & headset microphone options). The WM-5325 is now delivered as a stand-alone unit capable of operating with various TOA microphones, including the YP-M5300 unidirectional and YP-M5100 omnidirectional lavaliere microphones. A new unidirectional YP-M5300 microphone is perfect for use in hi-feedback situations or where more isolation from other noise is required. All 5000 Series receivers feature a frequency scanning function and transmitter battery status indicator.

The ability to use rechargeable NiMH batteries, which permits up to13 hours continuous use before recharging offers the additional advantage of enhancing equipment reliability by assuring that every activity begins with the batteries fully charged. Two, six, and twelve station chargers (BC-5000-2, BC-5000-6, BC-5000-12) allow the microphones to be directly inserted into the charging base with no need to remove batteries. There is also an option for AA alkaline for up to 10 hours of operation.

The new 5000 Series has 64 selectable frequencies in each transmitter with up to 16 simultaneous channels (14 in G02) for flexibility and improved freedom from interference. Wireless frequencies available are E01: 668 - 698 MHz, F01: 636 - 666 MHz, UHF, G02: 606 - 636 MHz, UHF and H01: 576 - 606 MHz, UHF

All the UHF wireless microphone tuners in the TOA 5000 Series employ phase locked loop (PLL) synthesis for stable performance. Their reliable wide-area coverage permits use of up to 16 microphones within a radius of up to 120 metres from the YW-4500 UHF wireless antenna.

Other features include TOA true diversity (WT-5800) or space diversity (WT-5805) circuitry, a usable frequencies scanning and vacant channel search function, a double super-heterodyne receiving system and a tone squelch function to mute unwanted noise.

“TOA Canada has become a more competitive choice with our newly enhanced versatility, reliability, and cost-efficiency 5000 Series. With all its exciting new features, it is perfect for customers experiencing a challenging difficult, congested RF environment such as high noise or feedback-sensitive areas.” explained Rico Lucia, National Sales Manager for TOA Canada.
