Surveon releases megapixel storage suite for Enterprise VMS

Taipei, Taiwan

Megapixel video provides clearer pictures and the promise of advanced surveillance management, however the difficulty of selecting a reliable storage solution and the complex integration and maintenance loads associated with storage prevents many system integrators from developing this market. To address this major need, Surveon has expanded its enterprise VMS with automatic storage management for multiple security camera megapixel recording.
Along with enterprise features such as VI detection, client server architecture and enterprise management, this capability gives Surveon the ability to provide ideal solutions for high retention period, mission critical IP video surveillance.

In comparison with similar models on the market, the Surveon VMS plus storage solution is 100% designed and manufactured in house at Surveon with high performance enterprise grade of hardware RAID where most others are either PC based software RAID or hardware RAID in the subsystem. 'The Surveon VMS Storage solution offers higher performance optimised for megapixel recording where others may not be the same, especially applied in a project." enphasised Mr. Authur Hu, Sales Director of Surveon Technology Inc.

The Surveon Enterprise VMS plus megapixel storage suite can support hardware RAID5 from 14TB up to a max. of 160TB for recording at megapixel resolution for up to 30 days on a 64 channel system. Multiple system packages in the line are available for different sized applications and projects.
