Sunell debuts world's smallest IR PTZ camera at ISC West

Shenzhen, China

Sunell is launching a series of 3 megapixel miniature PTZ network dome cameras equipped with IR LEDs for 24/7 applications.

The new Aurora G2 series initially includes 3 new models--SN-IPS56, SN-30CDR, and SN-ZSD12. These models are available in 3 different colour options: pearl white, champagne gold and rose gold, and are supported by a 1/28” progressive scan CMOS sensor that features 3 megapixel high-definition resolution, low-lux sensitivity, and digital WDR (wide dynamic range) to ensure high-quality image reproduction.

The Aurora G2 series is designed to create an effective fusion of ID elements and rich functionality. The series possesses 5 main benefits in terms of mechanical design. Firstly, they are engineered in a 3 chamber style of design,  2 chambers accommodate the IR LEDs to aid illumination in dark conditions and the lower chamber is designed for motion detection.  Secondly they incorporate a modularised layout, which helps to improve electromagnetic anti-interference performance, and also standardises product quality to ensure stable performance.  The Aurora G2 models also benefit from a highly efficient ventilation faciity via Sunell's unique in-house-designed turbofan + circulating air duct which help to expel heat out of the miniature housing; On the other hand, in extremely cold conditions, down to -40 degrees, if the PoE plus power supply mode is selected, the Aurora G2 series has a directional heater which increases the heat by 20% whilst power consumption is reduced by over 50%. Finally, the ultra-wide angle infrared design in th side compartments allows for infrared to be emitted avoiding blind spots and ensuring extreme accuracy.

In terms of video performance, the Aurora G2 series offers more than just a small housing. It includes a built-in a motorised zoom module capable of performimg 12x optical and 16x digital zoom, and is able to pan at 0.01-180°/s , and tilt at 0.01-90°/s with a preset speed of 90°/s. When using the ultra-wide angle infrared LEDs, the IR illumination has an effective emission range of up to 60 metres to ensure crystal clear images both during day and night time conditions, 24/7. Built-in intelligent 3D position and 3D privacy masking technology means that these brand-new PTZ dome cameras are able to provide seamless vigilant performance yet privacy is protected. Further, embedded IVA (intelligent video analysis) provides users with many more advanced functions such as, rule-based video blocking, cordoning, intelligent motion detection, intrusion detection, and intelligent tracking.

Ms. Wu Ling, CEO of Sunell, commented at the company's latest product launch.  “The brilliant and highly efficient cameras in the Aurora G2 series may be diminutive in size and yet offer so much more in terms of functionality. If we take into account the rich functionality and high-tech performance, this is the world's smallest IR PTZ network dome camera of its kind today.”

In addition, Chairman Liu of Sunell indicated: “Technologies such as 4K, H.265, UAV, intelligent analysis, biometrics, cloud computing, cloud storage and big data, have gradually become an influence on the industry’s development. Sunell has been preparing for this for a long time and is ready to confront these new opportunities as well as challenges that are to come in 2016 and the following years.”

At the forthcoming ISC West show in Las Vegas in April, the Aurora G2 series will take prime position on the Sunell stand.  Sunell will also be diplaying a 4K camera, motorised lens camera, temperature alarm camera, fisheye camera, H.265 NVR and Sunell's own Inview 6.0 software.
