Securityhunter wins $200M contract

Securityhunter, Inc.has received a $200 million Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to provide security systems and support services for 1,500 Social Security Administration (SSA) locations nationwide.

Securityhunter was competitively awarded a BPA against its General Services Administration (GSA), Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) contract to provide security systems and support services to various Social Security Administration (SSA) locations nationwide. This BPA provides standardised video surveillance systems (VSS), intrusion detection systems (IDS), duress alarms and physical access control systems (PACS) and consists of equipment, installation, maintenance, and support services at SSA offices. The initiative is referred to as Physical Security Systems Standardization and Support Services (PS5).

When asked what this award means to Securityhunter, CEO Michael S. Rogers said, “The Social Security Administration selected Securityhunter to help secure its facilities nationwide for the next five years. We are thrilled to be able to serve the nation with our expertise.”

The award of the BPA allows Securityhunter to save the federal government funds by reducing the administrative costs of acquiring commercial services from the General Service Administration (GSA) Federal Supply Schedule (FSS). “We are absolutely thrilled to be working with SSA and the ability to provide the government with top-of-the-line enterprise level physical security solutions,” says Chief Technology Officer Alex Elbert.

Various GSA schedule holders will support this SSA BPA, with Securityhunter as taking team lead position coordinating the efforts of other major companies including General Dynamics Information Technology, Honeywell Technology Solutions, Inc., Executive Technologies Corp, Star Asset Security, LLC, Security & Energy Technologies Corp, Carahsoft Technology Corp, VectorUSA, Cavalier Telephone (doing business as Windstream – Government Services Division).

According to Contract Manager Xanne Luera, “Securityhunter is pleased to contribute our company’s capabilities and leverage our teaming partner’s resources in support of the Social Security Administration’s strategic security standardisation objectives.”

Securityhunter has experienced an impressive growth record over the last five years, reportedly increasing turnover in 2010 from $1 million to $45 million in 2015.  The company is anticipating an even greater increase in 2016 and is forecasting a rise of 77 percent this year with a sales value of up to $80 million.
