Samsung launches online training

Samsung Techwin is launching the company's new online training portal aimed at making it easier for reseller partners to stay current with new technologies and products. Security professionals can access a variety of highly informative online courses via the internet at any time and from anywhere in the world.

“Our online training programme is designed to meet the needs of our reseller partners by providing a highly convenient and cost-efficient means for them to easily access technical training in the field,” said Tom Cook, Vice President, Sales, Samsung Techwin America. “The series of how-to videos is structured for easy comprehension and provides a valuable tool for individuals with diverse levels of technical expertise.”

New online training programmes include Network 101 which provides the necessary basic network knowledge needed to efficiently install, setup and maintain small to medium IP-based security video systems; Step Partner Certification Tools – a detailed how-to for using Ipolis device manager and network design online tools; Step Partner Certification made up of nine courses required to complete the STEP Partner certification; The All About SSM section provides the required training for installation of SSM, the client-server architecture based video management system: Ipolis Mobile explains the set-up procedures for Ipolis mobile; Smart Viewer 4.4 gives the installation and set-up instructions for the video management system and the Network Design Tool is an area where directions are provided for using the surveillance system design tool to create a diagram, parts list, bandwidth information, IP scheme and more.
