Pelco to close Orangeburg facility

Clovis, California (USA)

Pelco management announce that they will be closing their Pelco Orangeburg, New York facility over the next 60 to 90 days. Many of the current functions of this facility will be relocated within the New York area, as well as to new, more centralized US locations. Current finished-goods warehousing and distribution will be relocated to Louisville, Kentucky.

"The New York area is important to us, and that's why
we're leaving a great deal of our sales and customer service programs there. But we also recognized a
real need to take our distribution logistics to a more centralized location" said Dean Meyer, president and CEO.

Pelco will continue to support systems sales, customer training, and product support group within the New York area. An appropriately sized facility for these operations, with convenient customer access, is being sought.

In a related move to consolidate resources, management will now begin to phase out Pelco's in-house travel agency, PelcoTravel. Pelco's parent company, Schneider Electric, has a similar corporate travel system in place, and Pelco will adopt that system.
