Pelco Mobile provides added visibility with remote video

Dallas, Tx

Schneider Electric has released the latest version of its Pelco Mobile video security application which brings support for the Endura video management system.
Compatible with Apple IOS and Android devices, the application allows users of Schneider Electric’s Pelco Digital Sentry video management systems (VMS), Endura VMS equipped with the SM5200 system manager, and independent Sarix cameras to access real-time video of people and property they’re protecting with their video security installation anytime, anywhere.

From small basic installations to large mission-critical surveillance environments, Pelco Mobile offers several features that allow for optimised remote monitoring, including a responsive pan-tilt-zoom control that allows users to focus in on particular areas or events requiring immediate attention. In addition, users can save favourite cameras, camera groups and locations for easy navigation and quick access to areas they regularly monitor.

“As the world becomes increasingly mobile and wireless, the need for remote connectivity to business data applications has become paramount – and video security is no exception,” said Yvonne Schwemmer, senior product marketing manager, Schneider Electric. “Our development team is committed to providing users with an experience that takes advantage of the usability of mobile device platforms while delivering functionality that allows security professionals to better protect their people and property.”

Pelco Mobile is a free application for use on smart phones or tablets connected to a Digital Sentry VMS, Endura VMS or directly to a Sarix Camera via WiFi, 3G, or 4G. The application is currently available for download from the Apple App Store and Google.
