Pelco adds eco friendly LED series to monitor portfolio

Clovis, Ca

Pelco by Schneider Electric, has introduced energy efficient LED technology to its lineup of LCD monitors.
The release of the 24-inch LED-backlit monitor provides a more efficient choice for desktops and control rooms, and is a direct reflection of the company’s commitment to quickly adopt consumer technology trends and incorporate them into products specifically designed for video security professionals.

Superior contrast levels and full high-definition 1920 x 1080p resolution allow these monitors to produce the detailed views necessary for making important security decisions, while the use of LED backlighting dramatically lowers power consumption and heat dissipation making for a more reliable, efficient monitor.

“We are proud to bring this energy-saving technology to the video security industry,” says Barry Lawson, Pelco Product Marketing Manager. “The introduction of LCD monitors with LED technology marks a great milestone for our company and more importantly, offers customers a way to save money by decreasing energy use in their installations.”

By incorporating LED backlighting, rather than the cold cathode fluorescent lights (CCFLs) used in most other monitors, energy use of these new monitors is minimized. Energy Star certification also enables customers to save money and energy in their installations while getting the views that allow them to maximize their investment in megapixel surveillance cameras.
