Paxton Access appoints new development director

Paxton Access Limited, a market leader in the design and manufacture of electronic access control systems, has appointed Mark Thompson as Development Director.

A professional engineering graduate with over twenty years experience in the electronics industry, Mark has a proven track record in the development of innovative products. Mark's most recent roles were as Managing Director of Aston Broadcast Systems and Technical Director of Aston Electronics Designs Ltd. Here he was responsible for the development of the live caption generators 'Motif' and 'Ethos' that are now the industry standard and used by broadcasters all over the world including the BBC, ITV, C4 and Sky in the UK.
Mark developed early high definition (HDTV) graphics systems with EU funding, and promoted, through technology demonstration, the use and benefits of digital projection in cinemas.
With this wealth of experience combined with his commitment to innovation, Mark will strengthen Paxton's determination to extend the application of access control technologies in the workplace and help shape Paxton as one of the most exciting and forward thinking companies in its sector.
