Norbain offers new Net2 Paxlock slimline door handle

Reading, UK

Available through Norbain, Paxton has released Net2 Paxlock, a wireless, battery-powered Net2 access control unit in a slimline door handle. It is simple to use and quick to install as it is not wired into a mains power source. According to Norbain, this, along with its sleek design, makes it ideal for fitting to internal doors.
Net2 Paxlock comes ready to fit a standard Euro profile lock case and communicates with the Net2 server PC using the wireless technology of Net2air. Because it is designed for use with the Net2air USB or Ethernet bridge, it gives the advantages of a wireless networked access control system.

“We believe that Net2 Paxlock is the most significant addition to Net2 in over a decade,” says Adam Stroud, Joint Managing Director of Paxton. “It combines form and function in a way that hasn’t been achieved in the market before now. The door handle is sleek, stylish and can be fitted in under five minutes. Couple this with the power of Net2, our most popular access control system, and it’s easy see why we are so proud of what has been achieved.”

Gareth Ellams, Norbain’s Divisional Director – Access Control & Intruder, comments: “Net2 Paxlock isn’t just a pretty face. It can still be fully integrated into a CCTV system and reports events back to the Net2 server in real time. It features a full battery management system with low battery alerts in the Net2 software and easy-change AA batteries. Any changes made at the PC are communicated to and stored at the Net2 Paxlock and, just like any other access control system, when a user presents their token to the reader, it identifies them and permits or denies access as appropriate.”
