New Mydefence contract to counter drone threat scenarios

Cary, NC

Mydefence North America (MDNA) has been awarded an Other Transaction Authority (OTA) contract by the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) in support of multiple emerging unmanned aerial systems (UAS) threat scenarios.

As other countries continue to develop and use drones for nefarious attacks, spying, general brutality and warfare, Mydefence has stepped in to counter all these aspects of drones by detecting, identifying, classifying and mitigating them without causing collateral damage to people or equipment.

DIU supported the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) and other organisations across the Department of Defense (DOD) in evaluating component technologies during Black Dart 2019. Black Dart is a joint, interagency demonstration focusing on rapid development and implementation of Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) technology from readily-available commercial and governmental products. DTRA selected vendors based on their ability to field best-in-class capability. MDNA was selected as one such vendor and demonstrated capabilities during the test event at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) in June of 2019. MDNA is very excited about the opportunity this contract award provides, with its ability to service clients across the US government.
