MPEG-4 DVR series in 4-8-16 channel versions

Herlev, Denmark

Ernitec launches the ERIS3000 MPEG-4 DVR series in 4-8-16 channel versions.

"Our expectations are high as there is a great demand for a multi-function digital video recorder like our new ERIS3000 due to its cost-effectiveness, easy viewing and superior functions", explains product manager Lars Bjerring. "The ERIS3000 series may be named after a distant dwarf planet, but ERIS3000 will certainly open up some down-to-earth opportunities for entrance level customers."

Some of the superior features of ERIS3000 Basic and Advanced include:

- Plug & Play installation for easy recording - change one parameter and it sets the rest.
- Full Triplex operation allowing viewing/video recording & playback/network access.
- Intelligent video motion detection minimizing false alarms.
- Remote access to the DVR either using remote software for up to 64 cameras or using a designated IP address from any web browser connecting to 4, 8 or 16 camera. ERIS3000 is fully Vista compatible.
- 4 channels (320GB), 8 channels (640GB) or 16 channels (1TB)
- Supports N/O or N/C Relay output, a function often requested by security companies.
- UTP, Voltage and Twisted Pair connection via CAT5 cable (only for ERIS3000 Advanced).

This Linux-based embedded DVR can be accessed remotely over the internet or LAN. This ability to view live video from remote locations using a standard PC allows people to easily keep an eye on premises, no matter where they are.

Vice president sales Henrik Falshøj sums it up: "This much awaited ERIS3000 series replaces the more expensive EDNS1000 and EDNS2000 providing customers with an extremely reliably, easy-to-use, excellent quality surveillance solution."
