The award honours outstanding product development achievements of safety system manufacturers whose products are considered to be particularly noteworthy in their ability to improve security. More than 100 entries were received in the ninth year of this contest by an independent committee of jurors. Winners were honoured in multiple product award categories.

“The New Product of the Year contest gives us a terrific sampling of security solutions, but what is more amazing each year is the technical savvy that comes along with new products,” said Ralph C. Jensen, Editor in Chief of Security Today magazine. “Our juried judges must be able to understand technology and innovation to stay on top of the security solutions that will blend into the platforms in use today, and what will be expected of them tomorrow. Our New Product of the Year contest allows forward-thinking manufacturers to share their vision of security.”

Xprotect Professional Plus is the newest video management software offering from Milestone. The winners will be presented with their awards at ASIS International 2017 in Dallas later this month.
