This acquisition allows the convergence of IT and building management systems, providing greater information on the impact these systems have on facilities.

Gridlogix's EnNET platform allows building management systems to interface with open protocol IT systems to better manage energy, maintenance, physical security and compliance, which makes their facilities more energy efficient and sustainable. The platform is currently operable in many global business segments, including data centers, government, higher education and commercial facilities.

Gridlogix's software combined with Johnson Controls Metasys building management system will allow facility managers greater and more secure connectivity to IT applications. Users can also realize enhanced alarm response capabilities, and increased monitoring and reporting, thus allowing them to aggregate data for enterprise-based reports. Equipped with this greater visibility to energy use, users can make intelligent real-time portfolio decisions.
