IP-in-Action LIVE Orlando to be held in February

Orlando, USA

The IP UserGroup USA has lined up Richard Hollinger, noted professor at the University of Florida and author of an annual report on Identifying Retail Theft : Statistics and Solutions as the keynote speaker for IP-in-Action LIVE Orlando on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008.

Hollinger will be presenting a review of the latest National Retail Security Survey findings and will discuss how new security technology is being utilized in retail operations. The keynote is titled "Identifying Retail Theft: Statistics and Solutions."

Hollinger's survey has become the benchmark for identifying retail shrinkage trends across the nation. In an industry that loses more than USD 30 billion a year to theft, the yearly assessment recognizes the best practices for preventing loss.

As part of his presentation, Hollinger will discuss the roll IP solutions play in the retail security market and loss prevention efforts.

Hollinger is the director of the Security Research Project in the UF Department of Criminology, Law and Society. For the past 16 years he has led the annual National Retail Security Survey, polling the vice presidents of security and loss prevention at all the major retail department stores, discount chains, specialty stores, pharmacies and major grocery stores in the U.S.
