Hundure high security finger vein access control

Taipei, Taiwan

Hundure have recently released their latest biometric access control system, the RAC 852PEFV/PMFV, a high-end security solution that uses Hitachi's finger vein module.
This latest biometric authentication system supports fingerprint, face, iris and vein recognition. The finger vein authorisation is a high security biometrics technology, using the blood flow pattern in the finger of the living body to achieve individual authorisation. Authorisation is achieved simply by holding a finger close to the non-contact sensor, and works by passing near-infrared light to capture an image of the vein patterns inside of finger. It avoids potential problems that might have been caused by cuts, dry skin, scars, and other factors in the past.

The system is designed for applications such as offices, banks, military, jails, research institutions, police offices and governmental offices. The RAC-852 is able to support up to 6,000 users with 2 finger vein templates per user. The system can store up to 150,000 events as well as being capable of functioning as a 1:1 authentication and 1:N identification method. Audible voice prompts guide the users during the verification process. There are additional security features such as casing tamper proof detection, blacklist functionality, duress code setting and it can also be connected to an external slave reader for an anti-passback function.

The controller will send signals to a control centre for tracing and rescue, and there is an option to set a maximum number of attempts before triggering a re-swipe card alarm. At this point the controller time-out function will ignore instructions to enter with the built in self security feature and there is also a door sensor detection function.

For additional security issues, the RAC-852 can be integrated with Vivotek and Acti IP cameras and NVR systems and managed by HCMS, the Hundure capture management system. When a user has been identified completely by the RAC-852 module, then the HCMS will be activated to take a picture or a film as an event log.
