Hikvision fisheye wins award

Hikvision USA's 3MP 360 fisheye camera (DS-2CD6332FWD-I(S)(V)) has been declared New Product of the Year by Security Products magazine in the IP Camera Wide Dynamic Range category. This honour attests to Hikvision’s unparalleled dedication to research and development of cutting-edge technology.

"This year was by far the most exciting new products competition we’ve ever had,” said Ralph C. Jensen, editor in chief of Security Products. "Technology still reigns as the order of the day in the security industry.”

Delivering outstanding technology, Hikvision was one of the first to offer a true 30 fps fisheye view in full resolution. Hikvision incorporated unique WDR algorithms to provide an impressive 120dB of dynamic range processing, as well as an IR cut-filter and IR LEDs to ensure full 360 degree IR illumination and imaging down to 0 lux. The camera’s 1/1.8” progressive scan CMOS sensor provides high-resolution images of up to 3072 x 2048. Integrated IR allows for even disbursement over the entire image, eliminating hot spots. In fact, IR functionality provides up to 50 feet of visibility in low- or zero-light conditions.

"We are excited to be recognised again as a leader in the video surveillance industry,” noted Bob Germain, Senior Product Leader of Hikvision USA. "As we strive to bring innovative products to the marketplace, our focus remains on combining technological advances with cost-efficient solutions for a broad range of vertical markets. This award highlights our dedication to pushing the envelope on video technology.”

Hikvision’s 3MP fisheye will be recognised at ASIS International 2014 in Atlanta, Ga, USA.
