Grandstream wins innovation award

Brookline, Ma

TMC has named the GXV3672 series infrared IP surveillance camera from Grandstream as a 2013 Unified Communications TMC Labs Innovation Award winner presented by Internet Telephony magazine.
“Businesses are investing in IP video surveillance as a way to affordably add applications for physical security monitoring as well as assessing human behaviour and market research purposes,” said David Li, CEO of Grandstream Networks. “Grandstream is one of the first manufacturers to offer seamless IP video telephony integration with an IR weather-proof IP camera – allowing users to monitor, view live feeds, and receive alerts directly on their IP videophone from a camera that may be exposed to dangerous weather elements.” He added, “Our commitment to providing the channel with new sources of revenue and to delivering to end user customers affordable unified solutions for extending their investment in IP is made apparent with our growing line of IP video cameras, including the new GXV3672 infrared camera being recognised with this TMC Labs Innovation Award.”

“Grandstream has displayed its commitment to quality and innovation in the development of the unified communications industry,” said Tom Keating, CTO and TMC Labs Executive Editorial Director at TMC. “I look forward to more innovation from Grandstream and continued effort toward improving the future of the UC industry.”
“We’re pleased to bestow Grandstream with a Unified Communications TMC Labs Innovation Award,” stated Rich Tehrani, TMC CEO. “The GXV3672 IP Video Camera has shown true innovation and is deserving of this recognition.”

The TMC Labs Innovation Award honours products that have demonstrated innovation, unique features, and noteworthy developments toward improving communications technology. The TMC Labs Innovation Award is not granted to the best-selling products, but instead to those representing a significant contribution to the industry.

The GXV3672_FHD and GXV3672_HD IP cameras are two outdoor day/night tube cameras with IP66 weatherproof casing and ONVIF compliance that feature infrared (IR) capability for advanced nighttime and low-light video surveillance recording. The GXV3672_FHD includes a 3.1 megapixel CMOS sensor for a 1080p HD resolution, while the GXV3672_HD features a 1.3 megapixel CMOS sensor for 720p HD resolution. Because of the IR capability, both camera models provide users with an invaluable day/night surveillance tool for securing premises and delivering solid evidence of events that occur especially in darkness. In addition to high-resolution black/white images produced at night, the IR cameras deliver vibrant HD colour images during the day, even under dim light conditions.
