Fermax enters US market at the top

New York, NY (USA)

One57, one of the world’s most prestigious skyscrapers, has chosen Fermax and the new Lynx communication system for buildings. Lynx’s IP technology enables comprehensive communication, security and comfort management in this residential tower block, destined to become the city’s ultimate icon.

Fermax is entering the US market as a pioneer in IP systems. And what better way to do so than by going straight to the top? And according to the company, this is the brand's great achievement this year, having been chosen as the video entry system to be installed in One57, one of Manhattan’s most important, representative and innovative buildings in architectural and technological terms, in the heart of one of the most desirable and important areas, a centre of culture and the most colourful cosmopolitanism.

Its 306 metres are spread over 90 floors, where residential use merges with 135 luxury apartments, alongside a hotel (Park Hyatt) with 210 exclusive rooms. The building has broken several records. On one hand, it saw in 2014 as the tallest residential building in New York and throughout the Western world. On the other, it has broken the market, as one of the apartments was sold for $90 million, the highest price ever paid in the city.

In addition, as a curiosity, as revealed by Gary Barnett, CEO of the Extell Development Company, all buyers of the 19 highest apartments already sold possess fortunes valued at more than 1,000 million dollars.

The One57 building chose Vivo, the most technological terminal from Fermax, as its communication management system. With more than 190 monitors stationed in the tower, Vivo, through its glass surface and 7-inch touchscreen, offers a wide range of functions with intuitive handling, similar to the smartphones and tablets used by all the residents, thanks to its IP technology and Android operating system.
