Eutecus wins Microprocessor report innovation award

Berkley, California (USA)

Eutecus, Inc. has been awarded the Microprocessor report analysts' choice award for innovation (2006). Eutecus was one of only seven companies to receive the award, which was announced in the February 26, 2007 issue. In issuing the award, Microprocessor report cited Eutecus' cellular visual technology, which uses massively parallel processing and other techniques to enable high-speed digital imaging, on the order of 100,000 frames per second.

"This award is very much appreciated. It's a solid recognition of the CVT architecture and how it will transform complex image processing as we know it today, enabling embedded applications into the chip level" says Stephen D. Hester, Eutecus' president and CEO.

CVT combines a massively parallel processor architecture with optimized image-processing software. Closely coupled sensor capability allows very fast and specific algorithms to be employed.
