The cameras provide real time 1080p resolution at up to 30fps. An SD card interface supports up to 256GB of local storage. Megapix CaaS cameras also feature digital wide dynamic Range (WDR), true day/night, backlight compensation, 3D digital noise reduction and auto exposure. Megapix CaaS cameras are designed to be easy to install, maintain and adjust for any application.

The cameras can automatically discover the network and intelligently setup the network settings to match the network requirements. DW’s CaaS technology allows for unlimited scalability with each camera supporting the other for a network fail-over redundancy with local and network storage support.

Megapix CaaS+ edge cameras are engineered with a premium processor and capable of giving effective performance when running DW Spectrum IPVMS and users are able to manage up to 128 cameras vs 16 with CaaS.

Megapix CaaS+ cameras have both DW Spectrum and Prism Skylabs preloaded and CaaS+ can run DW Spectrum and Prism simultaneously.  In addition Megapix CaaS+ cameras can run as a Prism cloud device independent of DW Spectrum.

DW Spectrum’s powerful software is embedded in the CaaS and CaaS+ camera as an Enterprise Controller and Media Server for local recording. This integrates the camera closely with the DW Spectrum software, allowing for users to record locally on the camera’s edge storage, as well as extract and view the video from any DW Spectrum client.

All of DW’s Megapix cameras support PoE. This feature enabled the camera to receive power via the same network cables it uses to transmit data and video. This simplifies the installation process, requiring only a single cable to power up, configure, and control a camera.
