Dubai to host first ASIS Mid East security conference

The 1st ASIS International Middle East Security Conference which will take place in Dubai, UAE on 6-8 December 2009.


The conference is expected to gather more than 200 delegates and will feature 33 high-level educational sessions for and by international security experts that will cover the entire spectrum of security topics ranging from hotel security, organised crime, and maritime piracy to terrorism, background investigations rights, and IT Forensics.

His Excellency Lt General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Commander in Chief of the Dubai Police, Chairman of the Security & Justice Committee, Director of Security & Justice - Federal Security, Head of the Disaster & Crisis Management Team and Member of Dubai Government Executive Board, will be the opening keynote speaker on 7 December.

On 8 December, Mohammad G. Al-Zahrani, Executive Director, Safety & Industrial Security at Saudi Aramco, will be a keynote speaker. The Conference will be closed by Dr. Raymond H. Hamden, Clinical & Forensic Psychologist, Human Relations Institute. He will discuss the psychology of terrorists.

Other speakers include Lieutenant Colonel Abdulrahim Mohammed Sahfee and Younis Yousuf Al Mualim from the Dubai Police Force, Walied Shater from ConocoPhillips, Simon Hoyle from Majid Al Futtaim Group LLC, Janet Ackerman from Corporate Research and Investigations LLC, Russell Busby from Saudi Aramco, Zeal Somani from Paramount Computer Systems FZ LLC, and Ralph Stobwasser from Control Risks.
