“We’ve delivered door control products customised to match special architectural finishes, special size requirements and unique engravings, but this is the first time we’ve engraved the silhouette of a shark on our switches,” said Bryan Sanderford, National Sales Manager, Dortronics Systems, Inc. “This was one of those special orders our fabrication team really enjoyed because of its unique nature.”

To fulfill this unusual request, Dortronics customised its WR5276-HD28/HD29 Series Waterproof Push Button Switches to feature special aquatic-themed engravings. The new switches feature images of a shark and of bamboo. Dortronics’ Waterproof switches are ideal for use in an aquarium, where the devices are continually exposed to high humidity and water.

Typically used with conventional card access systems or automatic door openers, WR5276-HD28/HD29 Series Waterproof Push Button Switches are IP-65 rated for use in extreme environments. The switches feature illuminated LED rings that turn red or green depending on status, along with double pole, normally-open, dry contact outputs that can be wired to signal a door to unlock and for the door opener to activate, or to activate a device such as a pump. Additional features include various timer options that can either be fixed, delayed or adjusted, and tamper-resistant screw mounting. Plates are available with single gang or narrow mullion sizes and are constructed with long-lasting stainless steel.

To meet a variety of applications, WR5276-HD28/HD29 Series Waterproof Push Button Switches are available in four configurations: HD28 Alternate Action Form Z Non-Illuminated; HD28xLRG Alternate Action Form Z Illuminated LED Ring; HD29 Momentary Action Form Z Non-Illuminated; and HD29xLRG Momentary Action Form Z Illuminated LED Ring.
