Compro debuts 2 megapixel box camera

Taipei, Taiwan

Compro Technology has released its first 2-megapixel indoor box network camera, the NC1200, designed to deliver clear sharp video around the clock for applications such as casinos, warehouses, industrial sites and retail stores.
One key differentiator of the Compro NC1200 camera is its true day/night functionality, which is made possible through its 12 built-in long-range IR LEDs, a removable IR-cut filter, and an ambient light sensor. The camera’s advanced IR technology enables it to capture crystal clear images in low light conditions down to 0 lux. The box camera can stream high-quality video at 1600 x 1200 resolution at up to 15 FPS in addition to supporting multiple H.264 video streams. The NC1200 also supports Power-over-Ethernet for ease of installation.

Other useful features provided on the Compro NC1200 include ONVIF support, 2-way audio communication, digital I/O and an RS-485 interface for alarm and sensor integration, a microSD slot for local storage of video evidence, a BNC output, motion and audio detection, SMS and email alert messaging, and intelligent video analytics that can be used for applications like camera tamper detection and loitering detection.

The Compro NC1200 camera is supported by the full line of Compro embedded Linux and Windows embedded network video recorders. The camera also comes with the free bundled 32-channel video management software, Comproview, to allow users to set up a professional-grade surveillance system of their own.
