UL Standards 325 and 2593 are the prevailing industry standards in the US for ensuring the safe operation of doors, gates and access control equipment through the process of 3^rd-party testing and verification. The equivalent of these standards in Canada is CSA22.2#247. While many of Boon Edam’s products currently conform to CE, a common standard in the European Union, the company is systematically investing in UL and CSA certifications for its security entrance products to remove the need for field certifications when UL/CSA is required by North American customers. This streamlines installation, saving the customer time and money.

Tourlock 180+90 and the Circlelock are Boon Edam’s most popular high security entrance products due to their ability to prevent unauthorised entry without the need for manned supervision—providing roughly a one-year payback to the owners. The Tourlock 180+90 security revolving door prevents tailgating while providing a high two-way throughput, while the Circlelock mantrap portal is designed to prevent piggybacking into sensitive areas and also integrate with a biometric solution to verify the identity of the user.
