The industrial, PoE capable AFI9HMEC ultra mini media converters are ideal for connecting field-based equipment to Ethernet networks over long distances via fibre.

Specially designed to withstand the challenging extremes that face security installations, the AFI9HMEC ultra mini media converters are small enough to be installed in confined spaces provided by camera poles, cabinets and NEMA enclosures. They are durable enough to withstand temperatures as low as -40 and high as +70 degrees Celsius.

These converters provide a cost effective means of converting IP signals over long distances with the 100Mbps or Gigabit Ethernet uplink across fibre via the SFP port.

These ultra small media converters are PoE Capable, and so no need for auxiliary power, whilst at the same time they offer, reliable and consistent performance, they are DIN rail mountable, non-programmable, and inlcude Link Fault Forwarding (Media converters share their link status) providing an extra layer of security.
