AlwaysON recruits new customer services and operations director

AlwaysON Group, the Reading based provider of MPLS VPN networks and VOIP solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Smith to the role of customer services and operations director. Steve joins from ADT where he was managing a £20m business unit in the North of England.

Steve has extensive experience in the telecommunications and security sectors, with organisations including Cirrus communications, where he was managing director, Tunstall Telecom, where he was UK service director and regional managing director, and Modern Vitalcall, part of ASH where he became managing director having risen from within the technical support operation. Steve also served as an advisor to the director general of Oftel and holds an MBA.

Steve's joins AlwaysON at an exciting time. The company was recently listed as the fastest growing telecommunications provider in the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 list and has recent contract wins in excess of £5m. Unique new product concepts addressing strategic markets promise significant growth.
