Hyatt required both online and offline locks to do different jobs on different doors. To date, local system integrator Al Futtaim Technologies has installed 25 Aperio online E100 escutcheons and 51 offline E900 escutcheons. Aperio enables security managers at the new Hyatt to monitor doors remotely; to open doors wirelessly; and to create audit trails for specific doors on demand.
Component design was a crucial point in choosing the correct solution for the project. Attractive Aperio escutcheons were selected to complement the contemporary, luxurious feel of the Hyatt’s décor. All Aperio escutcheons are wireless, so there’s no ugly cabling to spoil the aesthetics and installation is quick and affordable—helping to keep the project within budget.
Integration with Gallagher’s access control system was also important. Gallagher’s Aperio integration is seamless, as Assa Abloy demonstrated live in Dubai at 2015’s Intersec exhibition.
Another official OEM partner, X-Plan, integrates the offline Aperio E900 escutcheons at the new Hyatt.
“Aperio offered a cost effective solution that did not require any cabling, and good technical and commercial support.” Sayed Abou El Ella, Safety and Security Manager.
The design is such that It is easy to incorporate additional Aperio locks into the same security system, should the hotel need them in the future. Access control at Dubai’s new Hyatt Regency is now future-proofed.
