Verint launches object design library for Nextiva portfolio

New York, NY and Melville, NY (USA)

Verint Systems Inc has launched a library of three-dimensional, dynamic building information modeling (BIM) objects for its Nextiva IP camera portfolio.
Designed to provide architects, engineers, consultants and security specifiers with security product options during the planning, design and specification stages of projects, the Verint library of BIM objects enables users to select and specify Nextiva IP cameras in designs, drawings and specifications of enterprise and critical infrastructure projects.

BIM is the process of generating and managing building data using three-dimensional, real-time, dynamic building modeling software to increase productivity in design and specification. The Nextiva IP objects will provide design-build teams with direct access to the cameras required to help ensure the safety and security of people, property and assets.

Verint’s library of BIM objects for Nextiva IP cameras are embedded with the product’s technical specifications, allowing architects, engineers, consultants and security specifiers to review product dimensions, weight, performance characteristics, environmental specifications, installation requirements, tools, accessories and price. The library of BIM objects includes Verint’s Nextiva S5000 Series H.264 network cameras.

"Verint's new IP camera BIM objects library is our response to the increasing use of standard computer aided design (CAD) tools for the design and specification of security solutions,” says Debjit Das, vice president of global marketing, Verint Video Intelligence Solutions. "Providing security objects tied to specific product information is an extremely valuable tool for architects, engineers, consultants, specifiers, contractors, building owners and all other stakeholders in enterprise and critical infrastructure projects."
