Updated software for MIC series of PTZ cameras

Eindhoven, The Netherlands

Bosch Security Systems announces the launch of a new control and configuration software package for its industry-leading MIC Series of PTZ cameras. Code-named Universal CAMSET, this software package allows the user to configure and operate all MIC Series camera features via a single, user-friendly interface.

Universal CAMSET gives security installers direct access to all of the MIC cameras' advanced features, including protocol programming, camera diagnostics, communication settings, privacy and operational commands. This single control and configuration interface operates with all the cameras in the MIC range including the popular MIC400, the ATEX rated MIC440 and the thermal MIC412, using any of the ten most common industry protocols.

Universal CAMSET is designed to make the installation and operation of MIC cameras as easy and as efficient as possible. A USB dongle is available from Bosch to allow communication with all MIC Series cameras over telemetry and from any PC platform. Universal CAMSET represents another significant technological advance made possible by the 2008 acquisition of Forward Vision CCTV by Bosch Security Systems.
