Sophisticated development platform
Taipei, Taiwan
Two of the interface boards feature universal RS232/422/485 ports, while the remaining two boards each have three relays and three optically isolated inputs. Relays can be used to switch external loads, while isolated inputs can be connected to various sensors. Additionally, these inputs can be used to connect standard Wiegand or clock/data card readers.
The hardware of the EM1000-TEV is fully supported by a sophisticated Tibbo BASIC demo application that implements a data collection terminal with onscreen setup menus, remote browser-based setup, an event log stored on the EM1000's flash disk, and many other important facilities. The source code for this demo application is posted on the Tibbo website and can be used freely by our customers.
"Our BASIC-programmable modules, such as the EM1000 device, are quickly gaining traction among developers", said Dmitry Slepov, the managing director and one of the founders of Tibbo Technology. "The release of our new EM1000-TEV development system demonstrates that the EM1000 can be successfully used in a wide range of devices such as data collection terminals, control panels, and automation equipment. Since the new development system contains all hardware facilities typically required in a data collection or automation device, software developers can start working on their new applications immediately, without waiting for the new product's hardware to be ready. Additionally, the availability of a comprehensive demo application will further shorten the product development cycle, by allowing Tibbo customers to freely reuse significant portions of the source code in their projects."
