Simonsvoss records strong fiscal year figures 2011

Simonsvoss Technologies AG has recorded group sales of Euro 46.4 million for the fiscal year 2011, exceeding sales by an impressive 18 percent compared with the previous year.
The main driving force behind growth in 2011 was the business development in Germany. However, sales also increased significantly abroad, thanks to the start of the new Smart Handle 3062 and the RFID version of the digital lock cylinder 3061-SC.

At the end of the year, Simonsvoss employed a total workforce of over 270, compared to 250 employees at the end of 2010. New employees were primarily hired for the company’s international sales offices These offices also include a new branch for the North European market based in Stockholm.

"Simonsvoss also sees promising market opportunities for this year. As extremely positive feedback received so far shows, market acceptance for our new products is very high. We hope to gain additional momentum for future growth based on such an exceptionally pleasing development,” states Hans-Gernot Illig, CEO at Simonsvoss Technologies AG.

In order to meet the increasing global demand, Simonsvoss is currently building a new production facility in Osterfeld, located in the state of Saxony-Anhalt. The commencement of development for this facility will begin this summer. Production ramp-up for digital locking cylinders and the digital escutcheon Smart Handle is scheduled from mid-2013.
