The planning of perimeter surveillance projects can be complex - especially when video analysis is used and special circumstances (such as a limited field of vision on account of buildings or trees) need to be considered.

The Seetec Camera Placement Tool provides visual support while planning a project - cameras with configurable parameters (model, mounting height, optics) can be placed on importable site plans (such as layout plans, aerial photos, or images from Google Earth). The detection area of the Seetec video analysis is directly displayed for each camera, suitable mounting positions as well as the optimal camera density can be easily determined.

The benefits provided by this tool are numerous, for example after entering the parameters, users will immediately receive feedback on the detection areas. Thus allowing them to adapt their planning in detail.   This not only saves time during the planning process, but also allows for a quick estimation of project costs.  In addition, the integration of layout plans and Google Earth footage enables vivid and realistic planning.
