Record control center software updated

Ottobrunn, Germany

Bosch Security Systems has introduced an updated version of its Divar Control Center software that enables users of Divar-2 systems to extend their systems with the new Divar XF Hybrid H.264 recorders. The new software provides an easy and economical upgrade path, enabling Divar-2 users to increase the flexibility and capabilities of their installation and even migrate to IP.

With the new Divar Control Center it is possible to connect and control an unlimited number of Divar-2 and Divar XF units. The Control Center's easy-to-use, intuitive user interface gives access to recorders and cameras in seconds, and even allows the entire system to be managed remotely over IP.

In addition to the remote capabilities over IP, it is now possible to operate and manage a total of 30 Divars locally by using a single Bosch CCTV keyboard - combining a maximum of 16 Divar XF and 14 Divar-2 units in a single system. By using the Bosch Video Manager and keyboard expander, a scalable video solution can also be created, with a total of 4 Bosch CCTV keyboards and 6 CCTV monitors to control and manage all the recorders.

Moreover, each Divar XF unit added to the system enables up to 8 H.264 IP cameras to be added using the existing IT network infrastructure to transmit the video, with both IP and analog cameras being controlled in exactly the same way.

The Control Center software is also available for download from the Bosch website free of charge, so that even if users choose not to extend their systems with the new Divar XF units, they are still able to upgrade their existing Divar-2 control center software with an improved user interface and Windows Vista support.
