The owner of a boutique shop located in the Dubai international airport required an efficient surveillance solution to improve both business management and security at the shop. They needed surveillance inside the stores to create a comfortable shopping environment for customers and also to protect their display items as well as shop employees. The owner wanted to be able to check out any problems that might occur even remotely when he is away. After comparing prices and performance of several systems, the Provideo PV-981A DVR card was selected for the store's surveillance purposes.

The PV-981A card DVR supports recording at 120fps with quality video images from 8 or up to 16 of their existing analogue security cameras. It also includes up to 4 ports of audio signals (PCM 8KHz 16Bit Stereo) to synchronize with video whilst recording. The DVR card is Windows 2K/XP/Win7, and Linux OS supported. Hence, the card DVR can be used by plugging directly into any desk-top computer unit, facilitating remote viewing of the entire system over the internet much more cheaply and efficiently.

The installation now completely fulfills the requirements of the boutique owner as he can now manage his business through live images that are sent from his shops over 6000 km away via the internet located in his main office.
