Police see further in the dark with Flir

West Malling, Kent (UK)

Flir was recently exhibiting the HS-X Command 320, PAL, 9Hz, monocular camera, as well as the HS-XR Command 640, PAL, 9Hz, monocular camera at Intersec 2016 Dubai.  The recently released Scout II 640 was also on show.

The Scout II 640 is a small compact, ruggedised and affordable monocular camera equipped with recording/capture capabilities with high image advantages and resolution options.

An exciting new feature is the interchangeable lenses that can be used both on the HS X series as on the BHS X/XR bi-ocular camera models.

The lens options include the 322-0181-12 QD35 -35mm Quick Disconnect Lens, allowing you to detect a man size target up to 1.2 miles away, the 322-0195-12 QD65 -65mm Quick Disconnect Lens, allowing for the detection of a man size target up to 1.1 miles away and the 322-0196-12 QD100 - 100mm Quick Disconnect Lens, for detection of a man size target up to 1.5 miles away.

The HS-X and HS-XR monocular camera gives law enforcement officers the ability to see more and see further in infrared than with other low-light night vision goggles. Featuring a full coverage eyepiece, inter-ocular adjustment, ergonomic comfort, straightforward controls, and performance the Flir BHS-Series monocular is effective for extended patrols, covert surveillance, critical infrastructure protection, and high-threat security missions.
